Stagetime is an online network where artists, agents, and artistic administrators can grow as professionals and maintain relationships by engaging with industry connections, showcasing their media, and interacting with colleagues and collaborators.
Problem Statement: Performing artists find it difficult using traditional employment focus platforms such as Linkedin as they don’ t provide the right tools needed to share the type of work that these artists have.
Objective: Design, test and iterate a web and mobile app that fits the needs of performing artist to find new work, connect with fellow artist, and have a well-connected community.
1. Conducted user interviews & user testing with current Stagetime users and well as potential user to see what features are worthwhile to them.
2. Analyzed existing employment and social media platforms for.
3. Research the performing arts field to create personas of typical users.
4. Explored user preferences regarding interface design and key features.
1. User Interview: Identify key features that performing artist need in order to market themselves.
2. Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed wireframes to visualize app structure and iteratively prototyped key features for user testing.
3. Visual Design: Created a clean and visually appealing interface with intuitive navigation, leveraging a high end clean feel.
4. Community Integration: Designed features for users to share their profile, their latest work and be an online community to engage with.
5. Continuous Iterating: After features are release continuously test and iterate based on user feedback and changes to industry standard user experience findings.

Outcome: Stagetime is a performing artist hub that connects fellow artist together and provides the business and employment focus need to succeed as an artist.
Conclusion: Stagetime shows how UX design can enhance traditional business and employment focus platforms into an application that is tailored for the artist users.
