Introduction

Outcode software is a product focused technology service company that helps create custom software for their customers with the promise of delivering ROI on their invest into their mobile or web app. They provide a variety of services and engagement types in product, design, development, quality and consulting.

Problem Statement: The Outcode Software website prior to this update didn’t truly reflect what they did as a company. The website also serves as a portfolio of what they are capable of doing and the previous website wasn’t reflecting that.

Objective: To design an above custom software industry standard website that reflects what Outcode offers and how they offer it while also showcasing their design and development skills.

Research & Insights

1. Research local competitors such as Tech9, Kahoa, Start Studios, and industry leaderships such as Soft Serve to see what Outcode needs to beat at a local level and to plan on how to get to an industry leader level.
2. There are two was of offering outsourced software development, project and staff augmentation. Outcode offers both but decided to focus on project based.
3. Surveyed users on preference of motion on a website and majority of them liked motion but suggested that overdone motion would hurt website.

Design Process

1. Research: Looking into how local and industry leading software development companies structure their website.
2. Plan: Create a site map of current needs as well as future growth of the website
3. Wireframing & Animations: Developed wireframes to visualize app structure and implement effective and meaningful motion to bring life to the site.
4. Visual Design: Created a clean and visually appealing interface with intuitive navigation, leveraging a dark mode style and Outcode’s space branding.
5. Feature Development: Implemented core features like discover individual services pages and Your Journey page.
6. Testing & Optimization: Conducted thorough testing and gathered feedback for continuous improvement including adding a recent work section and hours worked on the home page.

• Fresh website update that reflects the brand
• Individual pages for all services offered
• Recently launch projects section on homepage with a dedicate page for each
• A website that reflects what Outcode does and showcase their skills

Outcome: Outcode now has a website that has great user experience that will help their conversion rate but will also truly showcase what they do and who they are.

Conclusion: Outcode’s website show the importance of proper digital design that will not only match the brand and its style but also be an excellent marketing site that will convert and bring them new customers.
