Introduction

Credit.com has long offered a free credit score and credit advice to its users to the US. While in the UK there is a couple of company that offer free credit scores and credit advice there isn’t any that help restore someone credit report to be fair and accurate. Credit.com saw a problem that needed to be solved in the UK.

Problem Statement: Credit.com wanted to expand their services into the UK and in order to do so they needed to create a brand and a website up to legitimize their business as per law in the UK..

Objective: To research, interview, and brainstorm names for a credit restoration company in the UK and to establish a presence over there by creating a website.

Research & Insights

1. Over nine million UK adults could have mistakes on their credit files.
2. Consumers in the UK are more skeptical of anything deal with credit and would rather use money instead.
3. Conduct interviews with target demographics on what they know about credit and what they think the biggest pain points from it.

Creative Process

1. Moodboard: Provide options of how the brand tone and look can be and the pros and cons of doing each.
2. Brand Visual Design: Create a logo, color palette, and basic style guide for the app that can also be used elsewhere.
3. Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed wireframes to visualize app structure and iteratively prototyped key features for user testing.
4. Visual Design: Created a clean and visually appealing interface with intuitive section, leveraging a style based on calming tones and imagery that matches the UK.
5. Testing & Optimization: Conducted thorough testing and gathered feedback for continuous improvement.

Final Product

• New brand with style guide with direction on how to use the brand.
• Landing page that gives the business legitimacy of the company.

Outcome: Creditco brand and landing page was created providing legitimacy to the brand. Credit.com decided to change plans and didn’t move forward with the expansion into the UK but the next goal was to build out the landing page and turn it into a full website with multiple pages. After that there was going to be a design out members login experience.

Conclusion: Project like Creditco are a good example of how important proper research is and why getting an understanding of the consumer will help deliver a better user experience.
